Galgorm Castle is a square, solid fortress built in the Scottish Baronial tradition, (c. 1618), near Ballymena, in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It is now a family residence. The painting depicts the stunning building set in airy surroundings, viewed from the castle's leafy driveway.
